Bendigo Hospital upgrade early stagesJanuary 10 2011
Oz Cranes & Rigging were employed by Transfield Services to provide rigging services for the early stages of the new Bendigo Hospital project. Transfield Services is a construction services, maintenance and operations company which operates globally in a range of sectors.
Our riggers helped to remove the old boiler house, which housed the co-generation plant – this was the primary source of power to the Bendigo Hospital and Ann Caudle Centre – converting gas and steam into electricity.
This project signalled the end of an era for that type of power supply, simultaneously indicating the start of the Bendigo Hospital upgrade. The site of the co-generation plant has since been completely cleared and you wouldn’t even know it existed there!
